Ecosign Mountain Resort Planners

Two firsts happened in 1975 to launch the Whistler phenomenon: the city became Canada’s first resort municipality, and Paul Mathews started Ecosign, a mountain resort planning firm. Much of Whistler – like the Peak to Peak Gondola – has been imagined by Ecosign, and 1,000+ global projects later, Sobi was asked to make Ecosign’s brand as world-class as they are.

Two truths led this big design facelift: despite their reputation these are down-to-earth people; and as always, the very best understate. We went for an international, up-to-the-minute look, but with a fresh, bright, outdoor feel, all deep woods and white slopes.

The website is like working with them: easy, open, approachable. Throughout the brand, epic photos and casual snapshots get equal billing, reinforcing that these are masters who feel like friends. So far, our work has included their website, brand guidelines and presentation templates. What an honour to help Ecosign enter their next half-century looking like the icons that they are.

"I can’t believe how much Ecosign’s marketing material and website have transformed over the year thanks to Anna's creative influence! Seeing how the brand guidelines are applied to not just the website, but print graphics, report and proposal templates, business cards, logos has been exciting and very impressive that she set up such a solid foundation that is so versatile. We are incredibly happy with all of it, as well as Anna's fast and responsive work!
