Questions? We’ve got answers.

Why do I need branding?

As brands proliferate while attention spans decrease, impactful branding is an increasingly important asset to every business, organization and professional. It differentiates you in a competitive marketplace, helping you stand out, be memorable, and look like you mean business. Creating a unique, ownable personality lets your customers and community build trust with you and an emotional connection to your business, leading to loyal, long-term relationships.

Do I need a logo for my business?

A logo helps your business establish a visual identity, making it easier for customers to recognize and remember your brand. A well-designed and original logo can create a lasting impression, differentiating you from competitors and giving you a branding tool that is almost endlessly versatile.

How long does it take to design a logo?

The logo development process varies depending on several factors, including the complexity of the design, the number of revisions, and the communication between the client and the designer.

What are brand guidelines?

Comprehensive brand guidelines are the rulebook of your brand: a document that tells designers and others how to properly use – and not use – the assets of your brand across different media and collateral, so that your brand’s intended look is rigorously maintained. From logo usage to colours, fonts, graphic styles and more – even tone of voice – this clear and concise instruction manual will help you not only execute your brand, but do it in a cohesive and consistent way.

Why do I need brand guidelines?

A brand that is consistent builds better recognition over time. Many different people may end up working on a wide range of marketing materials for you, and brand guidelines give them clear and precise instructions on how to maintain a consistent look to your logo, brand colours, fonts and more, while preventing unprofessional and off-brand results.

What is Sobi’s branding process?

It’s iterative, thoughtful, and collaborative. Branding always comes first, as it determines how every aspect of your brand will look and feel. All work starts with a conversation and all good relationships depend on the right fit. We listen to what you’re hoping to do, ask a lot of questions, and determine whether we’re a good fit for you and your brand. If so, we work together to develop a list of design assets that you’ll need, which we then create a quote for.

Once that’s approved, the first step is developing your brand strategy: What makes you unique? What do you want people to think when they encounter you? This positioning exercise includes messaging, tone of voice, your personality, values and more. From there we dive into naming (if needed) and logo design. After these foundational elements are approved, Sobi can tackle any other graphic design needs, whether it’s print and digital creative, website design, packaging – the entire graphic design toolkit.
